Thank you Magnus! No need to apologize for your English at all, on the contrary, it was very good!

I appreciate the information. My email is DLopez42@wi.rr.com. It's only natural that all the information is in Swedish, which isn't a big deal any more since Google Translate has come into the picture. I do run into problems though when trying to read Swedish handwriting. It takes much more time, depending on the handwriting, to figure it out. I also can't just copy and paste, like I can with computer documents. But that's ok! I'd still like to look at all of it!  I didn't know the Bergman's were involved in several industries.

Any general history of Kalix is welcome too. My family was very attached to their homeland, and since it no doubt had a large influence on who they were when they came to the U.S., I enjoy learning about it, and the culture.

Most cultural traditions are passed down through the Mothers of the family, at least in the US, and despite the fact my great grandparents Helge & Esther had only one child, who was a son, who married a non-swede, and then on top of it, died very young, his daughters and even his German wife tried very hard after my grandfather and his parents passed on to keep hold on the Swedish roots, memories and traditions for us. My own children are a complete mixture of heritages, and I'd very much so like to instill these traditions, and more in them too. So I guess that is one reason why I think it's so important to learn as much as I can, so it is not forgotten. That being said, I welcome all info anyone can throw at me. :)

Thank you for the help!
Dani
